Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
We take your privacy and research security seriously.
1. Information We Collect
Account Data: Name, email address, and institutional affiliation provided during registration via Google OAuth.
Research Content: Documents, abstracts, and metadata you upload for analysis. Research documents and related materials uploaded to the platform are stored securely and processed to generate summaries, classifications, and readiness indicators. By default, only abstracts and non-confidential metadata may be visible to industry users. Full research materials are disclosed only after your approval and completion of required confidentiality procedures.
Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve our services.
AI Interactions: Chat conversations with our AI assistant to improve response quality.
Meeting & Engagement Data: Information related to meeting requests and engagement workflows with other platform participants, shared only with your explicitly approved participants.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve Platform services
- Generate AI-powered research analysis and recommendations (research content may be processed by AI systems to generate summaries, classifications, and research readiness insights; these outputs are informational and assistive only)
- Facilitate confidential matchmaking between researchers and industry
- Send service-related notifications
- Ensure Platform security and prevent abuse
3. Research Privacy & Anonymity
R2C.Ai is designed with researcher privacy as a core principle. Your identity is never publicly linked to your research on the Platform. Industry partners can only view research abstracts and AI-generated analyses — your name, institution, and contact details remain confidential until you choose to engage.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
R2C.Ai does not claim ownership of research uploaded to the platform. All intellectual property rights remain with the original owners unless explicitly transferred through separate written agreements between the relevant parties. AI processing of research content does not change or affect IP ownership.
5. Confidential Research Disclosure
Detailed research information is shared only after you approve a request and the relevant parties complete required confidentiality steps such as a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This ensures that confidential research information remains protected during evaluation discussions. Disclosures are logged and timestamped to maintain an audit trail of information sharing.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Cloud infrastructure, AI model providers (for analysis only)
- Meeting participants: Limited information necessary to facilitate interactions is shared only with participants explicitly approved by you during engagement or meeting requests
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
Research information is shared only with authorized participants with your explicit consent. Any sharing of research details follows the platform's controlled disclosure process to maintain confidentiality.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure cloud storage, and access controls. Research documents are stored in isolated, access-controlled environments. Access to research documents is restricted through access control mechanisms, and disclosures are logged and timestamped to maintain a traceable record of information sharing.
9. Platform Monitoring for Security
R2C.Ai may monitor platform activity to detect misuse, unauthorized access, or violations of platform policies in order to protect researchers and maintain platform security. This includes monitoring for unauthorized attempts to access confidential research materials.
8. Facilitation of Connections
R2C.Ai facilitates connections between researchers and industry partners but is not a party to commercialization agreements unless explicitly stated. Any licensing or technology transfer agreements occur between the relevant parties outside the platform. We serve as a platform for introducing parties and facilitating initial discussions only.
11. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences (e.g., theme, view settings). We use analytics to understand Platform usage patterns. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
12. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your research data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Control visibility of your research
- Manage disclosure permissions and access requests
- Withdraw research content from the platform subject to applicable agreements
Researchers may control the visibility of their research, manage access requests, and withdraw research content from the platform subject to applicable agreements and legal obligations.
13. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for research and improvement purposes. Research documents remain stored while your account is active. If an account is deleted, associated research data will be removed or anonymized in accordance with platform policies and legal obligations.
